YTL DC to develop the first solar-powered data center park in Malaysia
Today, Singapore-headquartered YTL Data Center Holdings Pte. Ltd. (YTL DC) announced the development of the first solar-powered data center park in Johor, Malaysia.
The YTL Green Data Center Park will offer diversity in power and connectivity on a large industrial site in the state, of which 275 acres will be dedicated to green data center development.
Upon completion, this solar-powered data center park will achieve a total capacity of 500MW. The first phase of 72MW is currently under construction and is expected to provide services by Q1 2024.

Through the YTL Green Data Center Park, YTL Power will leverage its long-standing expertise in integrated building infrastructure, offering end-to-end solutions to clients and partners.
Following this project, YTL DC plans to utilize the group’s expertise in renewable energy, telecommunications and construction to develop new green data center campuses across Southeast Asian countries like the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.
